PALMDALE, CA – Assemblyman Tom Lackey has received the endorsement of former Senator, and current Board of Equalization Member George Runner.
“Like me, Tom got his start in local government. His time on the Palmdale School Board and Palmdale City Council showed him how to lead and govern. Combined with his service as a CHP officer, this experience gave Tom the background to be an advocate for the Antelope Valley. He represents his constituents honestly and without hesitation,” said George Runner.
Assemblyman Lackey holds a bachelor’s degree in special education and began his career in education as an elementary teacher for children with special needs. This followed a 28-year career as a California Highway Patrol Officer where he served the communities of Phelan and Wrightwood. He would go on to be a member of the Palmdale School Board and City Council.
Tom Lackey is seeking re-election to California’s 36th Assembly District, which includes the communities of Lancaster, Palmdale, Rosamond, Mojave and California City.
