PALMDALE, CA – Earlier this week, the California District Attorneys Association announced their endorsement of Assemblyman Tom Lackey in his campaign for re-election to the 36th Assembly District.
The California District Attorneys Association is an advocacy group that represents District Attorneys and prosecutors at the statewide level. In announcing their endorsement, Mark Zahner, Chief Executive Officer of the California District Attorneys Association said, “Tom Lackey’s work with CDAA to close loopholes that hindered prosecution of date rape drug offenders was a major public safety victory. We look forward to continuing to work with Assemblyman Lackey on keeping California’s neighborhoods and communities safe.”
Prior to his election to the State Assembly in 2014, Lackey served for almost 30 years as a California State Highway Patrolman. In Sacramento, he has made public safety a top priority, introducing several pieces of legislation to assist police and prosecutors in finding criminals and bringing them to justice. In addition to CDAA, Lackey’s dedication to getting criminals off the streets has earned him the support of major public safety groups including the California Police Chiefs Association, the California Professional Peace Officers Association and Crime Victims United.
Tom Lackey is seeking re-election to California’s 36th Assembly District, which includes the communities of Lancaster, Palmdale, Rosamond, Mojave and California City.
