Assemblyman Tom Lackey Endorsed by Palmdale City Councilman Mike Dispenza
Palmdale, CA — Today, Assemblyman Tom Lackey announced that he has been endorsed by Palmdale City Councilman Mike Dispenza. Lackey is running for re-election in the 36th State Assembly District, which includes portions of Kern, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino counties.
Dispenza is a longtime resident of Palmdale, and a leading agent in one of the most successful insurance agencies in the country. Recognized by both the Palmdale Chamber of Commerce and the American Red Cross as an advocate for the community, Dispenza has served on the Palmdale City Council for four consecutive terms.
“For decades, Tom has been an invaluable part of our community, protecting our streets, serving our local schools, and representing our families in Sacramento,” stated Councilman Dispenza. “I’m proud to lend my support to his campaign this coming election.”
Tom Lackey was first elected to the State Assembly in 2014, where he quickly earned a reputation as a pragmatist who is able to work with colleagues across the aisle. Raised in the mining town of Boron, Lackey developed a passion for public safety at an early age, and served for 28 years with the California Highway Patrol. He went on to serve on the Palmdale City Council from 2005 to 2014.
When asked about the endorsement, Lackey said, “Mike and I had the pleasure of serving together on the Palmdale City Council and I’ve long admired his dedication to serving residents and protecting taxpayer dollars. It’s an honor to earn his support as I seek to continue to represent our community in Sacramento.”
Tom Lackey lives in Palmdale and has two kids, Justin and Jani.
