Assemblyman Tom Lackey Endorsed by California Reserve Peace Officers Association
Palmdale, CA — The California Reserve Peace Officers Association (CRPOA) has endorsed Assemblyman Tom Lackey in his bid for re-election. The CRPOA was founded in 1974 to represent the needs of reserve peace officers across the state and is one of the largest law enforcement associations in California.
“Assemblyman Tom Lackey has exceeded our expectations during his first term in office,” stated Jim Lombardi, President of the CRPOA. “Given his CHP career and record on the Palmdale City Council, we knew he would be an advocate for the public safety community. However, Tom has gone above and beyond simply providing us with a voice by proving that a member of the minority party can work with colleagues across the aisle in order to make a positive impact and keep our streets safe. We’re proud to support him for re-election.”
Tom Lackey is a retired 28-year CHP veteran, former Palmdale Elementary School Board Member, and former Palmdale City Councilman. Today he represents the 36th District in the State Assembly, encompassing the Antelope Valley as well as parts of the High and Mojave Deserts. A vocal proponent for public safety laws, Lackey co-authored California’s first drugged driving regulation, ensuring that roads remain free of dangerous drivers.
In response to the endorsement, Lackey commented: “CRPOA is an invaluable ally supporting the well-being and safety of peace officers and their families across our State. It is a great honor to earn their endorsement.”
Tom Lackey lives in Palmdale, and has two children. To learn more about Assemblyman TomLackey, visit: www.LackeyForAssembly.com.
