Supervisor Michael Antonovich Endorses Tom Lackey for Reelection
Palmdale, CA — Today Assemblyman Tom Lackey announced that he has received the endorsement of Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich. Antonovich has served as a member of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors since 1980. Prior to the serving on the Board, Antonovich served in the State Assembly.
“Tom Lackey has served his community with honor and dedication, first as a law enforcement officer, then as a Palmdale City Councilman, and today as the voice for the Antelope Valley in the State Assembly,” stated Antonovich. “I am proud to endorse Tom for re-election. He is the leader we need in Sacramento.”
A native of Boron, Tom Lackey served as a California Highway Patrolman for 28 years. Lackey first entered elected public service as a member of the Palmdale Elementary School District Board of Trustees and was subsequently elected to the Palmdale City Council in 2005. In 2014, he defeated incumbent Steve Fox and was elected represent the Antelope Valley in the California State Assembly. During his first term, Lackey has been recognized for his commitment to support public safety and reform California’s education system.
“Mike’s tireless efforts and strong fiscal sense make him one of the most valued leaders in Los Angeles County,” Lackey was quoted. “His devotion to the region’s taxpayers, small business owners, and working families is unparalleled. I am deeply honored to earn his support as I seek reelection this fall.”
Lackey represents the 36th Assembly District, which includes the communities of Palmdale, Lancaster, Mojave, and California City.
