The last year has been quite the journey but your support gave us the strength to accomplish our mission and return conservative values and ethical leadership to our region.
Last Tuesday was an historic night and one that both my family and I will always remember, but history could not have been made without your support and your desire to elect a Representative who will always remember the reason they ran for public office as well as their commitment to improving our quality of life on each and every level.
For the first time in 20 years, an incumbent Democrat in the State of California was defeated, and it was not only victory that was declared, but also a statement that was made. As your Assemblyman-elect, I am proud to say that our campaign is currently winning by a margin of over 20 points: 61.5% to 38.5%.
Although I am humbled by the amount of support for our campaign and excited to be in this position, victory was merely the first step on the path to our success. Now the process of strengthening our middle class, bettering our education system, and attracting outside investment for local job creation has begun.
As a product of the small mining town of Boron, I understand that nothing is possible without opportunity, and opportunity is exactly what I plan to provide for our families, residents, and students. I will always permit my faith and my values to guide my decisions, but as your Assemblyman my mission and responsibility is to make our region and our home a safer and stronger place to live, work, and raise a family.
Last Tuesday laid the foundation for our future and I look forward to the next chapter of our lives because when we work together, there is nothing that can hold us back.
